My brother Jay, and I

This photo was taken around the time of my Bar Mitzvah, which would be the winter of 1962, or thereabouts, in our living room at home on Long Island. (I still have my braces on).
We're standing in front of our spinet piano, with the little busts of Mend
elssohn, Brahms & Beethoven on it...

Summer on Long Island, circa 1954

My mom, Anne, and me in our backyard in Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY, 1954 or '55.
If you click on the photo, it enlarges.
You can see I'm holding up a tomato.
We had tomato gardens every year for awhile, and sometimes squash, and one year pumpkins so prolific their vines (and big orange orbs) hung off of neighbors' trees and fences!
We look fairly 'dressed up' in this photo, it must have been a special day, not a casual one, perhaps a gathering of family at the house, which occurred regularly on weekends.

Debut !

I created this blog to share family photos from the various branches of the Goldman - Dix families. Some will date back to the early 1900's, up to the present time.
